The University promotes health, teamwork, and recreation through a variety of sports facilities, including football pitches, a running track, and courts for basketball, volleyball, tennis, cricket, and netball located at Edward Moringe Campus (EMC), Solomon Mahlangu Campus (SMC), and Mizengo Pinda Campus (MPC). These facilities are freely and easily accessible to all students for training, practice, and recreation.
To strengthen participation and interaction, the University organizes the Vice Chancellor’s Sports Bonanza and takes part in regional, national, and international competitions under TUSA (Tanzania Universities Sports Association), FEAUS (Federation of East African University Sports), FASU (Federation of African University Sports), and FISU (International University Sports Federation).
The University’s facilities are also used to host sports events organized by ministries, private institutions, banks, and schools in Morogoro Municipality, enhancing community engagement and athletic development. All sports and recreational activities are coordinated through the Department of Sports and Games.
