Sustainable Development Goals

Showcasing SUA’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through research, education, and impactful community engagement.

Our Commitment to Global Sustainability

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity. Sokoine University of Agriculture is dedicated to contributing to these global goals through our academic programs, research initiatives, and community partnerships.

The SDGs are integrated—they recognize that action in one area will affect outcomes in others, and that development must balance social, economic and environmental sustainability:cite[1].
